H&M announced that its next designer collaboration will be with Kenzo. How exciting! Their collection of women’s and men’s ready-to-wear and accessories will arrive in 250 H&M stores around the world and online on November 3 following a mid-October show in an as-yet-undisclosed location.

Since joining the house in 2011, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have set their own fashion agenda with collections full of bold colours and vivid prints, revealed through high-impact shows, artist collaborations and creative digital campaigns. Global influences and traditions are remixed and fused with the energy of the street, resulting in collections that are both inspirational and accessible to their fans around the world. At KENZO, fashion expresses freedom, joy and individuality for all.
“We can’t wait to share with everyone the world of KENZO x H&M, with all of its creativity, fun and love of fashion,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor at H&M.
This is the first collaboration after H&M’s wildly successful partnership with Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing. I sadly did not get my hands on anything of that collection. Did you?
The Kenzo collab looks like it is going to have a different vibe. As H&M’s head of design, Ann-Sofie Johansson, put it, “Balmain was glamorous and sexy, and this is young, and fun and vibrant.”
I am really excited for this collaboration, can’t wait to see what the collection looks like!
What do you think, will you be setting your alarms and wait in line at H&M on November the 3rd?
